Golden Globes 2012

It’s always exciting to be at the Golden Globes with ExtraTV.  We were so nervous and hoping to meet Angelina but she didn’t win so no love.  Not as many winners this year but we got a few.  And celebrities never sit for all 4 shots.  Especially with their publicists standing over and looking at their watches.  Ah, Hollywood.

Laura Dern wins for lead actress in a TV comedy series Sunday with her turn in HBO’s “Enlightened.”

Kelsey Grammer wins for Best Actor in a Drama Series for his role in Starz’s “Boss.”

Matt LeBlanc wins for Best Actor TV Series - Comedy “Episodes.”

Octavia Spencer wins for Best Supporting Actress in “The Help.”

New Year’s Eve Party / Sowden House

Okay, this was really the coolest house ever.  The Sowden House was built by Lloyd Wright and just amazing.  It is totally open in the middle with two rows of rooms on either side of the pool.  You can rent it out by the night.  Thanks Jackie and To for letting us celebrate our new year’s eve with you.  Tu does the pr for Philip Lim.  Think lots of beautifully dressed fashion designers with the latest heels from the runways.

Sanjay’s 40th Birthday Party / Montage Hotel

Think Bollywood full of really beautiful people and the most extravagant, opulent birthday party we have ever seen, a rooftop view of Beverly Hills and you’ve got Sanjay’s birthday party. Between the regional food stations (Italian, vegetarian, Asian, Grilled), the cigar station, the DJ and red carpet photographer, the photobox had a lot of competition for the attention of these revelers.  Fortunately, the party started early and went late, so everyone did a great job of pacing themselves. We had a steady stream of Glam and bling coming through our booth but that didn’t the guests from cutting loose in front of our camera which is often the case with more formal events.

Landry Design / Holiday Party

If you have a few million dollars to spend and need to build your dream house, then maybe Landry Design would be your cup of tea.  We get lots of architecture firm bookings because Terence is a design director at Gensler (or the Big G as we call it or the G-Spot as Terence has in his phone.  I like that he references his work as the G-Spot).

Landry Design had their holiday party at the La Boheme in Hollywood.  The theme was masquerade and everyone had a beautiful mask on and were dressed to the nine.  Super fun party that I did with our attendant Geoff.

Steven Ehrlich Architects / Holiday Party

We love architects.  They dress well, are opinionated and want to debate about everything.  I should know, I am married to one.  They are lots of fun but just don’t try to buy them a gift.  Oh check out this article about buying an architect a Christmas gift. Totally tongue-in-cheek and totally sarcastic.  And totally true.  Anyway, Steven Ehrlich Architects do really cool projects and it so happens is also home to couple of our closest friends.  Their holiday party was at the Canal Club in Venice, a small intimate affair with many people dressed in all black.

Allis + David / Wedding / Natural History Museum

Okay, this is by far THE coolest venue with the best backdrop that we have had—it is hard to beat dinosaurs as the background.

The wedding was probably the most fun we have had too.  Lots of famous comedians were friends of the groom… we laughed till our tummies hurt.

Loved the animal masks.  And their footer.  We pretty much loved everything about their wedding.  We heart Allis and David.

Splendid + Ella Moss / Holiday Party

2 holiday parties in one day for Splendid, Ella Moss and Seven Jeans who are all owned by the same company.  Perched on top of the the Elevate restaurant downtown, this was a great party full of well-dressed and fun people.

Julie, one of our amazing attendants.

Seven for All Mankind / Holiday Party

Seven for All Mankind closed the evening and rocked Elevate.  Again a lot of really well dressed guests who were lots of fun.

December was a really busy month for us, full of fun holiday parties.

Twilight: Breaking Dawn / Extra TV Press Junket

What most people might not know about press junkets is that there is a lot of waiting around.  The cast of Twilight have to visit every other suite which houses other media outlets before or after coming to our Extra TV suite.  But it was worth it.  Kristen was more comfortable this year than the last but her foot was still swinging around like crazy.  Behind the scenes shots and info on their interviews tomorrow.  Here are the photos from the cast in the Photobox before they air on Extra TV!  We got everyone except Rob. Terri Seymour was interviewing and she was a total sweetheart!

Our test shot.  How cute is she?  Thanks Kris for working this event with me and charming the crew.  Tyler (left) and Kris (right).

Twilight: Breaking Dawn / Extra TV Press Junket!

Okay, I know I am a grown woman.  Who loves Twilight.  I admit it. I do!

I cannot wait to see the movie.

We are doing the press junket with Extra TV tomorrow and I am so, so excited!

Stay tuned for the photos of the cast!
